NEW YEARS PROMOTION ANNOUNCEMENT

John Gardner Sensei

has been promoted to Yondan (4th Degree Black-belt) by

Birankai North America which is Officially Recognized by The Aikikai Foundation, Aikido World Headquarters, Hombu Dojo, Tokyo Japan.

Gardner Sensei is now the highest ranked Aikido Instrutor in Grand Rapids. Promotion to Yondan shows a depth of understanding which few Aikido practicioners will ever reach. Gardner Sensei has dedicated more than 30 years to the art of Aikido. Throughout decades of intense study and personal sacrifice he has remained committed to sincere practice of Budo and exemplifies the spirit of a warrior.

On behalf of the Kyoseikan Dojo, we offer our heartfelt congratulations. Words can not express our gratitude for what you bring to our lives and everything you have shared with us.

Kyoseikan Dojo is the only martial arts school invivted to take place in thie month long event. We wil need voulenteers for ukemi and demonstration. Contact Mata Sensei if you have any questions.

Lake-shore Aikido Club in Saugatuck

Beginning April 6th, the Kyoseikan Dojo will be offeromg Aikido and Zen training classes at the Saugatick Center for the Arts.

Classes will be held each Tueaday evening from 7pm-8:30pm. Clases will go Month by Month and there are no contracts required. Each Monthly session will cost $40.00.

Zen Training

Formal Zen Training classes will be held every Sunday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Informal Zazen sits are still held every Monday & Wednesday at 6:00 pm, and Saturday Morning at 11:00 am.
